Mason Skulsh and his girlfriend were involved in a car crash on Highway 23 on Wednesday night but amidst the chaos of the crash, they lost their eight-month-old Great Pyrenees dog, Daisy.
The crash happened roughly 15 minutes outside of Revelstoke, southbound on Highway 23. In the crash, Skulsh’s girlfriend broke her leg, preventing the couple from being able to go look for the missing pup. Skulsh reached out to the Revelstoke Community Facebook page for help locating the dog. The community responded in droves.
With more than 200 interactions, nearly 300 comments, and over 3.5 thousand shares, news of the missing dog was spread far and wide.
Several community members returned to the site of the crash and continued to look for Daisy, while others offered their recommendations on where the dog might have gone.
As of Nov. 17, Daisy still hadn’t been found. Skulsh and his partner are still out of town as both of them needed surgery for injuries sustained in the crash.
Several commenters said that the dog could return to the crash site, but locals who returned and searched the area hadn’t found the dog, nor any trace of her.
Skulsh asked anyone who had any information to contact him by Facebook Messenger or by text. His phone number was listed on his initial post to the Revelstoke Facebook Community page.
