On Oct. 13 a male called the RCMP saying this friend was drunk in a red van in a parking lot near Eckhardt Avenue and Railway Street.
RCMP located the vehicle and activated their sirens and emergency lights and the vehicle took off. A slow-speed pursuit followed with the suspect evading multiple police roadblocks and crashing into barricade on the Channel Parkway near Fairview Road.
Police found the male driver to be very intoxicated and an investigation is underway.
