Two men facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in both heroin and cocaine as well as various firearms-related offences

Penticton RCMP raided an apartment on Fairview Road, finding drugs and a loaded rifle.

On Dec. 21 officers executed a drug search warrant in the 900 block of Fairview Road, arresting seven people including two 16-year-old boys. All but two adults, who resided in the apartment, were later released without charges.

Cpl. Brad Myhre said officers located and seized various quantities of crack cocaine, heroin, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), numerous different types of unlawfully possessed prescription pills and a loaded rifle.

The two adult men face a number of charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking in both heroin and cocaine as well as various firearms-related charges.

Myhre said both men were known to police and one was found to be on bail for sexual assault and seven other charges.
