Dumpster fire behind Plaza Motel in Penticton quickly extinguished

The fire was out within 20 minutes of reports of the smoking dumpster

A dumpster fire behind the Plaza Motel was quickly extinguished on Canada Day.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m.

Smoke was rising from the dumpster when the Penticton Fire Department arrived on scene.

By 4:20 p.m. the blaze was extinguished, and it is not currently known what started the fire.
