Penticton RCMP are reaching out to the public to help have an elderly male’s wallet returned.

Const. James Grandy said police responded to a report from a man who temporarily put down his wallet and it was taken.

“The man was riding his scooter in the Cherry Lane Mall, when he put down his wallet, just out of sight, and it was taken,” said Grandy. “Officers are reaching out to the public for any information, as the man had several photographs of his family inside his wallet, which were irreplaceable to him.”

If anyone witnessed this theft, or comes across the photographs, they are encouraged to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 and quote file 2019-8080. Alternatively, they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
