An electric vehicle charging station in Naramata has been shut down until next week.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen announced that as of Thursday morning, June 23, the site will be temporarily closed while crews install lighting and signage at the site.

The area — located at the pump house at Wharf Park — will also be resurfaced over the next week.

According to the regional district, the charging station will reopen on June 30.

While the station is closed, people are asked to check the PlugShare website to find other nearby charging locations.
