What looked like a fairly large fire up Industrial Avenue was just a prescribed burn on Thursday morning.
Smoke could be seen hovering in the 700 block of Industrial around 8 a.m. Several people thought it was a real fire.
The burn is happening across from Auto Aveda.
BC Wildfire Services will be doing prescribed burns until April to help burn off debris and prevent future wildfires.
