The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and West Bench FireSmart are organizing a mobile wood chipping event for the West Bench area near Penticton.
The event will be on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and will help residents remove flammable materials from their properties.
Those living the the Greater West Bench area, including Sage Mesa, can register their addresses for the mobile wood chipper. There is no drop site for materials, as the event is exclusively for mobile wood chipping on the properties.
The program will accept wood up to 30 centimetres in diameter, branches and twigs and clean vegetation.
