RCMP in Oliver are dealing with they believe is a serial flasher.

On Aug. 16, RCMP received a report of a male who had exposed himself to a female walking on the Hike and Bike trail in Oliver.

Cpl. Christina Tarasoff said the incident took place on the Hike and Bike trail in close proximity to the Oliver Skate Park at approximately 10 a.m. The suspect is described as being in his late teen to early 20’s, approximately 5’10’, with dark brown, well-groomed, curly hair, a light complexion and an athletic build wearing a blue/grey T-shirt and checkered blue shorts.

“Oliver detachment received two similar complaints in 2017 and it is believed that all these incidents are related. The suspect appears to be targeting adult females and is non-aggressive,” said Tarasoff in a news release.

If anyone has any further information or is able to identify the suspect please contact the Oliver RCMP or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS. Extra patrols will be dedicated to the area until this suspect is identified.
