Details finalized for the fundraiser to help the surviving members of Clinton Schoening's family.

Plans have been finalized for Sunday's fundraiser for the family of Clinton Schoening who was killed recently in a motorcycle accident.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Minute Muffler and Brake shop on Skaha Lake Road in Penticton.

Organized by friends, there will be a barbecue, cash donation jar and bottle drive as well as a silent auction.

Schoening died at the scene of the motorcycle accident on Eastside Road and his wife Crystal Sylvester was seriously injured.

Starting at noon from Minute Muffler there will be a motorcycle rally for those who want to participate, heading south on Hwy. 97 to Oliver and returning along Eastside Road past the accident scene.

A public memorial service for the well-known,  former city resident was held Thursday at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

The draws for the large number of donated items for the auction will take place between 5-6 p.m.

A planned dinner for later in the evening is sold out.
