Handgun turns out to be pellet gun, Penticton RCMP

Police were called to a Skaha Lake Road housing complex after a call came in a that a resident might have a handgun.

Police arrived just before 4 p.m. at the Fairhaven Supportive Housing Complex at 2670 Skaha Lake Rd. to investigate.

“Once we arrived we were able to ascertain the resident did have a pellet gun inside his suite, but no overt threats were made with it. A man was taken into custody and the investigation is continuing,” a release from the South Okanagan RCMP detachment stated.
