Our infrastructure is old and needs to be replaced.

Now is the ideal time to enhance the pedestrian experience, making downtown more of a people place, and creating a sense of energy and vibrancy.  Revitalization will help attract a better mix of offerings downtown and having two lanes of traffic will increase safety and visibility.

After multiple public engagements, property owners in the 100-200 blocks will be asked to contribute costs via a reverse petition process. While some people feel this process is unfair, it is merely a mechanism for council to gauge endorsement and a willingness to invest in the project.
