The Start Here Job Fair is on now (March 9) at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre until 5 p.m.

Sixty-plus employers in one building looking to hire for full, part-time and seasonal work. The event is free for job seekers and runs until 5 p.m.

Also, drop by for presentations in the Learning Theatre, with top employers talking about a range of topics including job opportunities, trade and apprenticeship programs, how to improve your resume, and housing in Penticton.

“We are excited that Penticton’s businesses and workers will have the opportunity to meet each other in one set location,” added Jonathan McGraw, president of the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce. “This is truly the best and easiest way for those either looking for work, or maybe contemplating a change, to learn about dozens of employers and the positions they have available, as well as having the chance to stand out from the crowd and make that all-important first impression.”

Like every community around the world, Penticton has faced major labour challenges that have been exasperated by the high price of housing and the limited to no rentals available.
