Once again, the City of Penticton has closed part of the Community Centre Pool after the discovery of a leak.

This time, the hot tub is shut down and will remain off limits until further notice.

Investigations show the water level in the hot tub dropping over the past few days and the source of a leak is now under investigation.

According to a news release, there is no estimate of when the pool might reopen, but all other facilities at the Community Centre and pool continue to operate as normal.

The pool closed for an extended period in 2015, when leaks around the drains in the leisure pool were discovered, not long after a June 18 earthquake.

Closure of the leisure pool lasted until the end of November 2015, and in June 2016 the city announced the annual summer closure would be extended for an additional three weeks to allow time for preventative maintenance, checking the drains in the main pool and repairing if needed.
