A 56-year-old Osoyoos man is in hospital with serious injuries after swerving to avoid a truck on 82nd Ave. in Osoyoos.
RCMP said that the man was travelling east on 82nd Ave. in Osoyoos on July 3 when he swerved to avoid a tow truck that was backing out of a driveway. The man was able to avoid the truck but lost control of his bike and crashed in the middle of the road.
Members of the Osoyoos Fire Department attended the scene. The man suffered from a serious leg injury and was transported to Oliver General Hospital then airlifted to Kelowna for emergency treatment.
RCMP said his injuries while serious are not life threatening.
