Possession of cocaine and methamphetamine have landed an Oliver couple in jail.
On May 9, Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers stopped a vehicle in Summerland occupied by a 39-year-old male and a 32-year-old female, both residents of Oliver.
Cpl. Brad Myhre said a search of the couple and their vehicle turned up over three ounces of cocaine and a small amount of crystal methamphetamine.
RCMP said the male was found to have a lengthy criminal record and recently finished a three-year jail sentence for cocaine trafficking after being arrested in 2008 for selling cocaine to an undercover RCMP officer. The woman was found to be on probation and also have a current outstanding drug charge from Oliver.
Both were held for court on Friday.
