Emergency responders were called out to a pedestrian struck on Tuesday around 3:45 p.m.

It is believed a man was hit by a trailer being pulled by a truck on Skaha Lake Road in front of the 7-Eleven store near Green Avenue.

The elderly man was on top of the flatbed trailer upon the arrival of firefighters, who could not say for sure how the man wound up on the trailer.

Injuries are believed to be minor, and the man appeared to be awake and responsive. Paramedics transported him to hospital, however, to be evaluated.
