For the second time in two months a break and enter and theft occurred at Buy The Sea Seafood on Main Street.
Police said a rock was thrown through the main door to gain access and a large amount of fish and lobster were taken from the store.
Bicycle theft
A bicycle was stolen overnight July 18 from Wright’s Beach Campground. An Orange, 2006 De Vinci was stolen. A Jamis, women’s grey bicycle was stolen from Rene Avenue, along with a child’s pink Schwinn bicycle, which was later recovered.
Break-in at construction site
Overnight July 12 there was a break-in to a trailer at the construction site on Arawana Forestry Road. Power cables running to the trailer were cut and tools as well as a scale were taken. The break-in caused thousands of dollars of damage, police said.
