Three Penticton Grade 10 boys spent the first Sunday of spring break showing the community that there are more good people in the world than bad.

Columbia Elementary was the target of significant graffiti on Friday night, with almost every wall of the school being tagged. Many in the community took to Facebook to express their sadness and frustration with such an ugly act of vandalism on a local school.

So the teens decided to change the narrative.

“We would like to thank the three Grade 10 boys who displayed great leadership by taking it upon themselves to paint over the graffiti,” said School District 67 in a Facebook post on Sunday.

“Thank you to these students for being exemplary members of our community.”
