Penticton intersection of Eckhardt and Martin partially closed today, Oct. 27

Southbound traffic will be detoured around the intersection

Martin Street and Eckhardt Avenue will be partially closed on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The city’s electric utility department will be replacing poles on the southeast and west corners of the intersection, and traffic signals will be off for the day.

There will be traffic control directing vehicles through the intersection during the work process.

There will be no southbound traffic on Martin Street starting at 9 a.m. That closure is expected to last for approximately four hours until 1 p.m.

A detour will be directing traffic either to Winnipeg Street or to Government Street.
