A Penticton man was badly assaulted on Thursday and left on the side of the road.
Cpl. Dave Tyreman said the 37-year-old man was found at the three kilometre mark on Shingle Creek Road, off of Green Mountain Road, after receiving RCMP received report at 8:39 a.m. The injured man was taken to the hospital and treated for what RCMP are calling serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
A 32-year-old man is in custody and RCMP are searching for other suspects. Tyreman said police believe the individuals involved in this incident are known to each other and the public is currently not at risk.
Penticton General Duty officers are currently being assisted in their investigation by local General Investigative Service officers, the Forensic Identification unit and the Police Service Dog unit.
