A 32-year-old Penticton man has died after he sustained serious injuries during a possible Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) crash on Saturday morning.

On Aug. 23, at 11:40 p.m., the Penticton RCMP responded to what is believed to be a motor vehicle accident involving a UTV at the 18 km mark on the 201 Forest Service Road. Police arrived to find a 32-year-old Penticton man suffering from serious injuries. Investigators suspect he was a passenger in a UTV and was thrown from the vehicle in a crash.

The man's condition quickly deteriorated and investigators performed CPR on him until paramedics could arrive. He was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries.

The investigation is in the early stages and police continue to seek witnesses to this tragic event. In addition, police continue their efforts to recover the vehicle involved which was not at the scene when investigators arrived.
