It’s what many have been waiting for and now it’s official — the Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise is back!

At their most recent meeting the board of directors of the Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise agreed that the current COVID restrictions will allow them to host the car show this year after having to cancel the past two summers.

The car show is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 24, 25 and 26, 2022.

“We look forward to hosting our 20th car show this coming June” said Wayne Wood, president of the Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise. “All of us missed the excitement that builds as we work towards creating a car show unlike any other. We’re happy to be back.”

The Penticton Peach City Beach Cruise offers car aficionados the opportunity to show their vehicles in the superb setting of Lakeshore Drive in Penticton. This year’s show will feature a day time and an evening cruise in downtown Penticton, a wine tour to five wineries in nearby Summerland, and entertainment in Gyro Park.

“In past years tourists would visit Penticton for the weekend of the car show even though they didn’t own show cars,” said Wood. “The opportunity to walk by and admire as many as 800 cars of many different years, models and makes is an opportunity not to be missed.”

This news comes after the Penticton Peach Fest board announced they are bringing back a full event of five days of fun Aug. 3-7.

The annual Peach Festival seeks a return to its grand form after a two-year hiatus, with a full line-up of events and attractions including the return of the Canadian Tire Mega Motocross riders, the celebration of past and present Peachfest Royalty, the popular sandcastle competition and the return of the West Coast Lumberjacks.
