A woman is in hospital after Penticton Search and Rescue (PENSAR) assisted Vernon RCMP with her evacuation from the Enderby Cliffs.
A ground team from Vernon Search and Rescue had hiked ion the area where a woman was in medical distress. The Vernon crews determined an air evacuation was in the best interest of the woman, and a five-person HETS team was scrambled from Penticton with three in the air and a two-person back up team on standby at the Penticton airport.
Around 5:45 p.m. the HETS team had secured the woman and transported her by long line to an awaiting ambulance where she was taken to hospital.
