Person riding motorized scooter hit by vehicle on Penticton’s Main Street

Individual has non-life threatening injuries, personnel say

Emergency personnel responded to reports of person struck by a vehicle on Main Street in front of the Super Wash on Thursday.

According to first responders on scene, the accident took place at approximately 3:30 p.m. when a Jeep struck an individual on a motorized scooter as it was leaving the car wash. Emergency personnel say the individual has non-life threatening injuries.

The lanes travelling southbound on Main Street were closed at Okanagan Avenue E. to allow first responders to clear the scene. Traffic travelling northbound is unaffected.
