Police raid Bridesville home recover thousands in stolen property

Items stolen in Penticton, Midway and Osoyoos were found when police raided a known problem residence in Bridesville Monday.

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of property was recovered including a camper van, numerous high end power tools, a large tow-behind rental generator (this item alone is believed to be worth approximately $50,000) and a motorcycle registered in Washington State, a press release from the South Okanagan RCMP detachment stated.

While on the way to raid the home in Bridesville, Osoyoos RCMP recovered a tow-behind generator / light tower also worth several thousand dollars which is believed to have been destined for the same property.

Police think all items were stolen over the last few days from Midway, Penticton, and Osoyoos.

As the investigation is ongoing and no charges have yet been laid, names of persons located / detained at the scene are not being released at this time.

Residents in rural areas are reminded to keep vigilant of suspicious activity and report same to their local RCMP.
