Fest of Ale calls

Police responded to 47 calls for services on the first evening of Fest of Ale, April 8. Most calls were related to disturbances and bylaw issues related to intoxicated people, RCMP said.

“Fest of Ale was well managed and maintained with organization and security,” said Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth with the Penticton RCMP. “However, having several thousand people drinking until 9 p.m. and continuing their festivities throughout town led to a number of issues later on in the evening.”
