Potential COVID-19 exposures at 3 Penticton and Summerland schools

Three schools in School District 67 have had COVID-19 exposures, two in Summerland and one in Penticton.

The schools are listed on the Interior Health website, with a potential exposure being declared after a member of staff or the student body having tested positive for COVID-19.

In Penticton, Columbia Elementary School is listed with dates of Nov. 2, 3 and 5 as potential exposures.

Summerland Secondary School has potential exposures from Nov. 2 to 5, and Summerland Middle School has potential exposures listed for Nov. 4 and 5.

Columbia Elementary had previous exposures at the end of October, and at the end of September.

Vaccines for children aged five to 11 could come within the next two weeks, according to Canada’s chief medical adviser.
