Power is going to be out for a small section of Penticton's industrial area this Sunday.
In order to upgrade the electric infrastructure in the area to accommodate the Penticton Regional Hospital expansion, the city's electric utility will be cutting power on Camrose Street, between the 1700 and 2100 blocks — between Industrial Avenue East to Warren Avenue East — on Sept. 25. The outage is planned for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The city said about 30 customers will be affected by the outage, while crews create an alternate feed so there will be two separate lines into the hospital to provide a backup source in the event of an emergency.
Affected customers with questions or concerns are asked to contact Cara at Electric Utility department at 250-490-2535.
