RCMP execute search warrant on rural Lumby property

The search warrant was related to an ongoing Kelowna RCMP property crime investigation

A number of police vehicles converged near Lumby Saturday, when officers executed a search warrant on a rural property. 

Officers from the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, the Kelowna RCMP and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team carried out the search warrant on a property in the Harris Creek Road area southeast of Lumby around 11 a.m. Nov. 9, said media relations officer Const. Chris Terleski. 

The warrant was executed in relation to an ongoing Kelowna RCMP property crime investigation, said Terleski, who did not share any further details about the incident. 

A post in the Vernon Rant and Rave (Uncensored) Facebook page from Saturday said 12 Emergency Response Team (ERT) tactical vehicles, two RCMP vehicles, one medical unit and an ambulance were seen in the Harris Creek Road area around 10:30 a.m.
