RCMP reported that a man was stabbed after an altercation with a roommate on the evening of June 2.

The victim suffered from multiple stab wounds.

Stolen truck

Overnight May 30 a 2001 Ford F350 was stolen after being parked at the Cannery Trade Centre.

The vehicle was last seen at 11 p.m. May 30 and is blue-green in colour with some dents in the bumper and a silver, checkerboard tool box in the back.

The license plate on the vehicle was HY1 776. Police said a theft of license plates at a neighbouring parking lot may be linked.

Drug bust

At 12:40 p.m. on May 31 police received a complaint of a confrontation in an alley located in the 500 block of Ellis Street.

A male in a brown truck was in an argument with another male. One male was punched and another grabbed a baseball bat from his truck.

After the males left the scene, police located the vehicle, pulling it over on Manitoba Street. One male was taken into custody as a large quantity of marijuana as well as an undisclosed sum of cash. Police are investigating charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Drunk driver

On June 1 at 11 p.m. a male driver was located driving with no lights on and the trunk of his vehicle open.

The man received a 90-day roadside prohibition.

GardenWorks break-in

Overnight June 1 a break-in occurred at GardenWorks Penticton on Duncan Avenue. Thieves made off with multiple statues and fountains. An investigation is ongoing.

Car veers off highway

On June 4 a vehicle veered off Highway 97 five kilometres north of Penticton. Both the driver and the passenger were able to escape the vehicle uninjured.

Witnesses reported the truck veered off the road into the lake. The American driver and passenger were driving home to Oregon from Alaska when the driver of the 2015 white, Ford F-350 fell asleep.
