Submitted Royal Purple fill 44 bags for Women In Need. Left to right Joan Popovich, president Royal Purple, Mare Farren, Sarah Martin, executive director Lower Similkameen Community Services Society, Sharon Boisvert and Ginny Bennett.

Once again the communities of Keremeos, Cawston, Olalla and Hedley came together to support Women in Need.

The Royal Purple had only planned to donate 30 handbags, but people were so generous we were able to fill 44 - three more than last year.

The Hedley Red Hatters and Mascot Mammas donated 12 handbags filled to the top with all sorts of goodies.

Once again a lady from Keremeos bought a new purse and stuffed it with all sorts of useful toiletries.

I would like to thank Pharmasave for all their generous donations as well as Nikki for all her help, Joan at Valley First and Shannon at Buy Low. A huge thank you to all the anonymous donors that supported this endeavour.

I would also like to thank the Lower Similkameen Community Services Society for managing this program in the community.
