The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen board has approved a short follow-up survey to its 2020 Citizen Survey.
The follow-up, which closes Aug. 31, will gather further insights into how residents and property owners prefer to engage with the regional district. It will examine specific methods of sharing and receiving information about regional district project and initiatives.
The follow-up survey opened June 7 and will close Aug. 31 at 4:30 p.m.
The survey is available online at rdosregionalconnections.ca. Paper copies are available at municipal member offices, local volunteer fire halls and community centres.
The survey is available at offices of the Town of Princeton, Village of Keremeos, Town of Oliver, Town of Osoyoos, District of Summerland and the regional district office in Penticton
Volunteer fire halls in Kaleden, Willowbrook, Okanagan Falls, Anarchist Mountain and Tulameen. Because of the current wildfire activity, some fire halls may not be able to provide paper copies at this time.
The survey is also available at the Oliver Community Centre and at the Similkameen Recreation Centre in Keremeos.
The regional district has been surveying citizens in rural areas biennially since 2010. The 2020 Citizen Survey was conducted online between Sept. 2 and Nov. 1, 2020. This survey is an essential tool to evaluate service and program delivery provided by the regional district. The survey helps improve communication and community engagement throughout the region.
