Thankfully no one was injured after a midnight house fire in Osoyoos on April 7.
The Osoyoos Fire Department and RCMP responded to the call at Heron Lane and 74th Avenue shortly after midnight from a neighbour who had spotted the flames.
“The north-east corner of the building, it was going pretty good when we got there, but we were able to contain it to that corner,” said deputy fire chief Ryan McCaskill.
The two residents were made aware of the fire and taken out of the house safely.

The damage was mainly to the exterior, and was contained to one corner of the home, damaging a covered entryway to the home and getting into the soffits.
The source of the fire is currently under investigation and it is still too early to tell whether it is suspicious or not.
Around 20 firefighters, with three engines and one rescue vehicle responded to the blaze.
