A man recently released from jail is facing further charges after police said they observed him stealing two scooters.

Michael Vaughn was released after getting arrested in the Walmart parking lot last week in connection to a stolen motorcycle. Vaughn was released June 21. After his release, RCMP said they observed Vaughn pushing a blue electric scooter to the Penticton Community Centre. He dropped off the blue scooter and the Penticton RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit observed him steal a black one, police said, before arresting him.

Vaughn was released for one hour and 12 minutes prior to getting arrested. Vaughn was remanded and remains in custody as charges are pending approval.
