A serious crash closed Highway 97 between Penticton and Oliver overnight Friday.
According to the Oliver fire department, a crash occurred around 11 p.m. at Highway 97 at Secrest Hill Road. The highway was closed in both directions at Park Rill Road. An extraction of one or more passengers was needed, according to the RDOS incident report.
A local detour was in effect. The highway was opened earlier this morning.
