The Downtown Penticton Association is delivering a special event in conjunction with Peachfest that will have participants shopping, sipping and savouring all that local businesses have to offer.
Chill’n 4 Summer takes place on Aug. 8. Guests can visit 10 downtown businesses and have a chance to win backstage passes to meet Emerson Drive and an opportunity to win a $500 downtown shopping spree.
“Chill’n 4 Summer is a different kind of event,” said Amber Belcourt, DPA event manager. “Featuring a wine and food tasting at each stop, this is definitely a fun evening for adults only. It’s going to be a more intimate social affair with terrific shopping in some of Downtown Penticton’s trendiest boutiques and hip yet sophisticated shops.”

The evening runs from 5 to 8:30 p.m. starting with a welcome reception at Mondo Creation. Guests will be treated to hors d’oeuvres, wine and special draws. Then, with Chill’n 4 Summer passports in hand, everyone can begin their shopping and tasting adventure, visiting 10 more downtown businesses: Peaches Lingerie, Lurtz and Co., BeeLong Gallery and Studios, Something Pretty Boutique, The Bumwrap, Caroline’s Boutique, Sass Boutique, Great Estates Okanagan Wine Experience Centre, Block300 Casual Steakhouse and the final destination, the Penticton Art Gallery.

Tickets are $40 each plus taxes, available from Eventbrite.ca. Only 100 tickets are being sold.
“We want our guests to have a high-quality experience that blends the social aspect of the event with the unique style and personality of each shopping and tasting location,” said Belcourt.
All the locations are within walking distance of each other making it the perfect evening to taste and shop your way through Downtown Penticton with some friends.
