South Okanagan sees 50 new COVID-19 cases over last week

Penticton alone saw 37 new cases reported

The South Okanagan saw 50 COVID-19 cases over the last week, according to the BC CDC.

Penticton recorded the most cases with 37, while the South Okanagan region including Oliver and Osoyoos saw 12. One new case was reported in Keremeos for the week of April 4 to 10.

In each of the two previous weeks, there were 33 cases throughout the area.

On Wednesday, the BC CDC released the latest update to their weekly map of COVID-19 cases.

Central Okanagan recorded 288 new cases for the week of April 4 to 10.

On Wednesday, the province reported 1,168 new cases, with 105 in Interior Health.

In the Interior 8,036 new vaccine doses have been administered, bringing the rolling total in the region to 158,259.
