Rotary Beach and other Summerland beaches have been busy during warm summer temperatures. Rotary now has a swim advisory. (John Arendt - Summerland Review)

There is a swim advisory for popular Rotary Beach. The advisory was issued the evening of Aug. 26.

Due to high levels of E.Coli, swimming and water recreational activities are not recommended at the south side of Rotary Beach until further notice.

All other Summerland beaches including Rotary Beach (North), Peach Orchard Beach and Powell Beach are safe for swimming.

Every summer, Rotary has times where a similar swimming advisory has been issued.

Rotary beach is a very popular spot for both locals and tourists for its fun “F” and “I” docks and for jumping off the pier as well as its shaded, grassy areas and picnic tables.
