Tail wags and treats at Place of Hearts Grand Opening

Located off of Dartmouth Road is Penticton’s newest groomer and pet services

There were plenty of treats and tailwags at the grand opening for Place of Hearts, Penticton’s newest groomer and pet services.

Located at 1953A Dartmouth Rd., owner and certified groomer Holly Tilstra welcomed potential clients and their pups with a Tea & Pupcakes event on Saturday, Aug. 3. Her friend and tenant Nadia Dürig, who is a chef pâtissère/chocolatière, created gourmet “pupcakes” for attendees while their pooches were spoiled with treats of their own.

“I used to work at a hotel when I made this dense chocolate cake, which would take 120 eggs. This weekend I only had to use six in this recipe,” joked Dürig.

Tilstra is excited to get her business up and running and said she will also be hosting an essential oils evening on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. For more details about Place of Hearts or her upcoming event, visit www.placeofhearts.ca or email placeofhearts@gmail.com.
