While the community has been generously donating funds to build the patient care tower at the Penticton Regional Hospital, one thief has instead decided to take hospital equipment.
The lens set for a slit lamp, a lamp that emits a narrow beam of light used for examining the interior of the eye, was taken from the Penticton Regional Hospital emergency ward.
Police said the theft had occurred over the last couple of days. Security footage is being reviewed by hospital security staff for a possible suspect and the value of the stolen lens set is approximately $6,000.
