Three stabbed in Keremeos pub

Vancouver man facing three counts of assault causing bodily harm in connection with stabbing at Red Bridge Pub

Three people were stabbed early Saturday morning at a pub in Keremeos.

Cpl. Mike Gallagher said at approximately 1 a.m. an altercation occurred at the Red Bridge Pub in Keremeos which resulted in three people being stabbed.

A 34-year-old Vancouver man has been arrested for three counts of assault causing bodily harm. RCMP said the victims received non-life-threatening injuries and have been released from the hospital. Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

On Saturday at 8:45 p.m., a Keremeos man suffered a serious assault in the Pine Park area. The man might have sustained two broken ribs in the incident that resulted in a 33-year-old Surrey man being arrested for assault.

Following Saturday’s incident, reports of a man throwing rocks down the bench from the Hilltop Esso area resulted in police charging the same male who was involved in Saturday’s incident with assaulting a police officer.

Police arriving at the scene of the complaint were bombarded with rocks thrown at their police cruiser. The man was arrested after a short pursuit.
