Sports Tourism should become part of economic development’s function. Its budget must be increased to take advantage of external marketing in order to recruit more tournaments. It’s time for us to think of building a six-plex for all the various baseball teams.
At the same time we must continue to search for at least a four-star hotel, that we are lacking for our tourists and our trade and convention centre.
We have developed many great facilities that rival any other city of our size but we have to put more energy into finding more sports groups in order to become a year-round playground for all ages.
