I believe we continuously miss chances to create economic development in Penticton by unnecessary delays and red tape created by many archaic bylaws.
We must update and improve in a harmonious way, how to deal with developers and new business opportunities. I will be appointing a councillor to work with each new developer that brings opportunities forward so that city council will be aware of any difficulties that investors may encounter.
This appointment should never have been eliminated and as your new mayor I will always be in contact with the councillor and developer to ensure that everything is working in a swift and efficient manner.
