Premier Christy Clark still has some work to do in getting to know her new hometown and riding in Westside-Kelowna, even after Wednesday's landslide by-election victory.

The Premier, on Thursday, took to the Okanagan as a local MLA for the first time to announce an addition $1 million in paving for the much maligned Westside Road – the strip named the worst road in British Columbia by BCAA last May.

Since 2008, the government has spent $10.3 million on improvement to Westside Road, including $6.5 million this year.
