Surrounded by his loved ones, Adelard Leo Blackburn passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the age of 75 years.  His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Leo will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Kathleen, and his children, Sharmayne (Robert), Kim, Shelly, Kerri-Lyn, Blayne (Michelle), Steven (Carol), Richard (Corrianne), Deston (Cathy).

Grandpa will also be fondly remembered by his 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  Leo will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, Rita, Ray (Aline), Ceril (Cecile), Lena (Arnold), Colette (Bob), Irene (Rolly) and Dennis. His was predeceased by his sister, Therese, and his parents, Aurore and Edgar Blackburn.

A Funeral Service in memory of Leo will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Parish, Penticton, BC, with Rev. Rex Velmonte officiating.

A Celebration of his Life will be planned for extended family and friends in Edmonton, Alberta.
