Jul 23, 1928 - Jan 5, 2018
It is with the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother (our Mugga) Alpha Taylor.

Alpha was born in Denmark and immigrated to Canada at age one with Grandma Larsen and her seven brothers and sisters (Grandpa Larsen had come ahead). She grew up in a Danish settlement in Saskatchewan, poor but happy.

Alpha left school to help family. She worked as a caregiver to a lady and her baby after a tough delivery. She was a cashier at the IGA in Edmonton and people would line up at her till because she was so nice to everyone. She became head cashier in no time. She and her husband Tom and their son started a lumberyard at their farm. They did very well at their business.

Alpha and Tom Taylor enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Alpha was predeceased by her mother and father, all of her siblings and her adoring husband.

She is survived by her son Bruce Taylor (Penticton), daughter and son in law Midge & Elmer Androsoff (Grand Forks), Grandchildren Lars Androsoff, Laranna Androsoff (Grand Forks) and Tammy Wahl (San Diego) and great-grandchildren Lauren & Tiernan Wahl (San Diego) and Trinity Taylor Anthony (Grand Forks) as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was so happy to have a lot of her family living so close. Alpha was the nicest lady one could ever know. The void she left can never be filled.

There will be a celebration of Alpha Taylor's life in May 2018. The family will share more details of this in the near future.
