September 23, 1927 - December 13, 2018
Angela was born and raised in Avonlea, Saskatchewan. She graduated from high school in Avonlea and attended teacher's college in Saskatoon, SK during the Second World War. She taught at Ravenscrag and Woodland, SK, sometimes coming to school by horseback. She married Tony Getzlaf, a classmate from Claybank, SK in 1947. They soon moved to British Columbia, first in the Salmon Arm area.

Her three children: Shelly, Nancy and Jo-Ann were born in Salmon Arm. In 1970 Angela moved to Penticton with husband Tony and her three children. Her husband Tony died in 2013. Angela was known for her wonderful gardens, her great baking and her years of service in the Catholic Women's League. A remarkable family-oriented woman, she kept up with her extended family. Even a month before her death she could discuss, by name, all her relatives: she knew the location, careers, and family of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and their children. She was visited frequently by many family members over the years.

Angela is survived by her three children: Shelly Getzlaf, Nancy Wigglesworth and Jo-Ann McCulloch.
