Beverley was born Feb 16 1934, lived in Summerland, died June 15 in Langley.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Beverley Monk. She was an amazing Mother, Gramma, wife Aunt, Sister, Sister in law and friend to so many. She lived life the right way. With passion, integrity and a heart full of love for so many. She took immense pride in her chosen profession of nursing and later as an instructor at BCIT.
Predeceased by our father Cecil Monk in 2009 and our sister Diana Lee Monk in 1993 she will be remembered in our hearts forever. Dad was the love of her life for 53 years,they raised three children, Kathryn, Diana and Steve (Joe).
As a mother she was amazing, but as a Grandma she shone even brighter. She adored her grandchildren, Josh, Dylan, Braeden and Matthew. We would find Mom playing trucks on the floor with her grandsons or crawling with the tea cozy on her head.
Whether it was time spent camping and swimming in the lake or jumping off the dock with one grandson and then later paragliding with the other..Mom was full of life. So many memories and stories to tell, all of which had a foundation Of love. She taught us love, Showed us love and gave nothing but love.
There's a loving husband and daughter along with a full glass of Chardonnay waiting for you in heaven. Enjoy each sip Mom, you earned it.
Mass will be held at the Holy Child parish in Summerland on August 6 at 1 pm. Refreshments after with the CWL.
