It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Mary Heisler (nee Pashak) on Aug 8, 2015 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 89 years.
Cathie is predeceased by her husband Philip in 2002. She is survived by her loving family: Daughters Karen MacLaren (Allan) Kamloops; Laureen Heisler (Norm) OK Falls; Paulette Hikida (Lloyd) Ladner. Grandchildren Janelle Booth (Andrew) Grande Prairie AB; Shaun MacLaren, Kamloops; Jaime Hikida (Jordan) Cloverdale; Katie Hikida, Ladner. Great Grandchildren Logan and Hayden Booth. Brothers Tom & Terry Pashak. She was predeceased by parents Joe and Sadie Pashak & brother William Pashak.
Cathie was born on Sept 30, 1925 in Calgary AB. She went to school at St. Mary’s, graduated in 1942 at 16 years old, went to business school, started her first job at Riley’s & McCormacks, then worked at Alberta Nitrogen (CM&S) for 8 years. On Nov 14, 1953 she married Phil Heisler & in 1957 the family moved to Dawson Creek BC. In 1975 they relocated to Tsawwassen, eventually settling in Penticton in 1978. In 2012 she moved to Kamloops.
Cathie was an athlete & singer. A great ball player, skier, bowler, rifle sharp shooter, badminton, curler, golfer, pool player & a member of Sweet Adelines. Cathie was a dedicated volunteer: St. John’s Ambulance, CWL, Heart & Stroke, Catholic churches, Rotary Ann, Dawson Creek & Penticton golf clubs, Tee Up for Cancer. She was particularly proud of obtaining her Rules of Golf Certification. She also loved to travel.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday Aug 22 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 361 Wade Ave W. Penticton. Reception to follow at the Convention Centre.
